Feedback on the course and venue was so good that the Unravel is back at Bear Creek for 2024. Same course designed by our friends at Outpost and it’s an RVA Racing event - which means “Guaranteed Gut-Punching Gravel”

This amazing trial system has a tough network of fun and challenging trails. Roots, rocks and elevation changes that you would expect from a course nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains.

Race #1 of the Commonwealth MTB Cup Series!
Douthat is a MTB'ers destination because the park offers challenging Civilian Conservation Corps built singletrack unlike anything you've ever ridden! There are classes for the whole family including 41, 21, 11, and 5.5 mile races for all ages and skill levels!

April 21 - Ride the Ridge
May 5 - Middle Mountain Momma
June 29 - 4-Hour Firecracker
September 7 - Filthy 50 / Dirty 30 / Unclean 15 / Slimy 7
October 6 - Virginia State MTB Marathon Championship

We have 5 amazing races lined up and we will crown our Commonwealth MTB Cup Champions when the dust settles after the Virginia State MTB Marathon Championship race!

Racers have four hours to complete as many laps as they can over a very fast and fun 4+ mile loop with 400ft elevation gain. Fast, flowy, an optional jump line, with some parts technical, rocky, rooty, yet tame enough for novice riders. Solo, duo, and 3-4 person team as well as juniors categories. Bring the whole clan and camp, this is gonna be a fun weekend of racing!
